I hadn't logged into my resources account for awhile now, so when I did today I was shocked to discover my Flower Brushes were featured with OibyrdsDD's.

I haven't had much time at all to work on anything new lately so it's nice to know that my old stuff is still being appreciated.

I was contacted by a band called From the Ashes to use one of my pieces, (Ashamed) for their album "Awakened!" I am very proud to have my art on the cover of this amazing band's CD! Their sound is incredible, and I enourage all of you to keep an eye out for them in the future, I'm sure they'll be very big some day!

Life has been completely hectic lately so I really haven't had too much time for my art. But I have been contacted and worked on the odd project over the last 2 months. I did some work for Photographer Toria Tyler, and hopefully we continue to work with her as things begin to settle down in my life. Also I was contacted by the band From the Ashes to use my work, Ashamed, and their CD cover for their album "Awakened." I was very happy about it all. I am hoping by the end of the year to make 7 more angels for an angel calender if possible, and am definately open to some comission work.

I got suckered by one of those guys who comes to your door and pleads with you to get a subscription to a magazine. I can't say no to anyone. So I have 2 years of Popular Photography & Imaging. I think it will help with my art and looked interesting in the store so why not? I finally put out a new piece of art, I'm still not sure how well it will do so I'm waiting on that. Also I finally took some time and made some new brushes for my resources page, a set of Frame brushes. I am happy with how they turned out and I have some ideas in mind for the next set, and maybe I'll even attempt another tutorial!

I must be on some sort of a roll, cause my two latest pieces made the front of the Digital Art, Miscellaneous, Fantasy section! :D Yahoo! I am very happy with the reaction I got to my newest pieces, it means a lot!

Also I made a support stamp for my wonderful friend Sue! Be sure to check it out in my Deviant Art journal.

I have a few projects in mind I am hoping to complete sometime in the near future, including a Pegasus requested by my Mom, as well as some fairies, maybe a mermaid of my own, and some Goddesses. I will start a theme for a calender soon as well.

My newest piece made the front of the Digital Art/Miscellaneous/Fantasy section again!

I am happy to see my works making it here more and more. Maybe it's a good sign, I really hope so. I really need to start selling some prints, so I can afford a Wacom. Using a mouse if very difficult but I still do the best I can do. I decided I loved this stock artist so much I am using another one of her beautiful stocks for my next piece, and then using a old favorite stock artist for the one after that.

I was very happy with this last piece, I used a ton of feather brushes (which was the first brush resource I've ever purchased) that I bought from Renderosity to put them together. Also I was very happy with how the shading turned out on the whole piece, especially the highlights on her arm and face. I am still not 100% thrilled with it but I hope the next work will improve. Maybe someday I might actually like one of my works fully. I think if I continue to improve that might happen. It's really hard to say because I tend to be very hard on myself when it comes to my art.

I was happy to hear that my second newest piece, Charmed, made the front page of the Digital Art/Miscellaneous/Fantasy section on Deviant Art. My friend Sue pointed it out to me and I was happy about that. It's an accomplishment, even in it's smallest measure. It's right up there with 2 of Sue's works, and that's flattering enough as it is, considering how great her stuff is. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to make the front page! Here's hoping!

OibyrdsDDs on Deviant Art noted me today. I guess they featured realitively unknown artists works in order to help them get a little more exposure. They said:

Resource Updates

I updated my resources account today, and added two new pieces. One is a grunge texture pack and the other is a Cloud texture. The Cloud is new, I made it today. The grunge pack is a bunch of textures I made awhile ago, when I first stated making Digital art, focusing mostly on dark/horror art. Check em out!

Collab Complete!

Well, we finally finished up the collab! I am pretty happy with the results, and it was fun to work with Sue again. The full version can be viewed on my Deviant Art page (click on the picture for link).

Other than that, I have a few things in mind for what to do next. I am hoping to do a few more eye type deviations as well as some more fantasy type stuff.

I am sticking to my old style since I seem to be able to work with it much better than this new style I'm going with lately. I don't know, I am never happy with the results. I think if anything I will start to combine the two styles, since I've learned so much over the last year.

I also wanted to mention I am open to doing collabs, if anyone is interested just note me on DA (If you are a DA artist) or send me an email.

Also I am open for commission work as well. Just email me with what you have in mind and we can discuss what the possibilities are. :)

Right now I've been working hard on my newly created tutorial/resources Deviant Art page. I will be focusing mostly on brushes and tutorials, but eventually with time I am hoping to get a digital camera to contribute some stocks to the page. (http://froggiesresources.deviantart.com)

I have also been working hard on running my group, Abstract Silence, with the help of a very wonderful Head Moderator named Robyn. We have monthly contests, prizes, Featured Members and even a Dream Archive for everything Dream related. We have close to 250 members and growing. (http://abstractsilence.deviantart.com)

Also I have several art works on the go, as well as a collabortion with my good friend Sue, of an Asian Mermaid. I am excited for it to be finished here soon for submittal. (Sue's work found at http://cosmosue.deviantart.com)

Tonight I may start some new brush packs or work with a new stock I am excited to work with.
