My newest piece made the front of the Digital Art/Miscellaneous/Fantasy section again!

I am happy to see my works making it here more and more. Maybe it's a good sign, I really hope so. I really need to start selling some prints, so I can afford a Wacom. Using a mouse if very difficult but I still do the best I can do. I decided I loved this stock artist so much I am using another one of her beautiful stocks for my next piece, and then using a old favorite stock artist for the one after that.

I was very happy with this last piece, I used a ton of feather brushes (which was the first brush resource I've ever purchased) that I bought from Renderosity to put them together. Also I was very happy with how the shading turned out on the whole piece, especially the highlights on her arm and face. I am still not 100% thrilled with it but I hope the next work will improve. Maybe someday I might actually like one of my works fully. I think if I continue to improve that might happen. It's really hard to say because I tend to be very hard on myself when it comes to my art.

Front Page

I was happy to hear that my second newest piece, Charmed, made the front page of the Digital Art/Miscellaneous/Fantasy section on Deviant Art. My friend Sue pointed it out to me and I was happy about that. It's an accomplishment, even in it's smallest measure. It's right up there with 2 of Sue's works, and that's flattering enough as it is, considering how great her stuff is. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to make the front page! Here's hoping!

O.D.D.S

OibyrdsDDs on Deviant Art noted me today. I guess they featured realitively unknown artists works in order to help them get a little more exposure. They said:

Resource Updates

I updated my resources account today, and added two new pieces. One is a grunge texture pack and the other is a Cloud texture. The Cloud is new, I made it today. The grunge pack is a bunch of textures I made awhile ago, when I first stated making Digital art, focusing mostly on dark/horror art. Check em out!

Updates!

Right now I've been working hard on my newly created tutorial/resources Deviant Art page. I will be focusing mostly on brushes and tutorials, but eventually with time I am hoping to get a digital camera to contribute some stocks to the page. (http://froggiesresources.deviantart.com)

I have also been working hard on running my group, Abstract Silence, with the help of a very wonderful Head Moderator named Robyn. We have monthly contests, prizes, Featured Members and even a Dream Archive for everything Dream related. We have close to 250 members and growing. (http://abstractsilence.deviantart.com)

Also I have several art works on the go, as well as a collabortion with my good friend Sue, of an Asian Mermaid. I am excited for it to be finished here soon for submittal. (Sue's work found at http://cosmosue.deviantart.com)

Tonight I may start some new brush packs or work with a new stock I am excited to work with.
